🇩🇪 Wir freuen uns ganz besonders, dass Alina Kenzel beim 1. Internationalen VfB-Meeting ihr Comeback gibt. Die 25-jährige Waiblingerin, deren Bestweite bei 18,69m liegt, bestreitet am 29. Juli ihren ersten Wettkampf seit knapp zwei Jahren. Seither führte die Juniorenweltmeisterin von 2016, U23-Europameisterin von 2019 und Deutsche Hallen-Meisterin von 2018 und 2020 einen langwierigen Kampf gegen die Nachwirkungen von zwei COVID-Erkrankungen. Anfang des Jahres begann sie wieder mit leichtem Training, mit dem Ziel, gegen Ende des Jahres erste Wettkämpfe zu bestreiten. Super, dass es jetzt schon früher klappt und Alina bei uns am Start ist.

🇬🇧 We are very happy that Alina Kenzel will be making her comeback at the 1st International VfB Meeting. The 25-year-old from Waiblingen, whose personal best is 18.69m, will be competing in her first competition in almost two years on 29 July. Since then, the 2016 World Junior Champion, 2019 European U23 Champion and 2018 and 2020 German Indoor Champion has fought a long battle against the after-effects of two COVID infections. She started light training again at the beginning of the year, with the aim of competing in her first competitions towards the end of the year. It’s great that it’s working out earlier now and that Alina is competing at our event.
