With a personal best of 6.91 metres, long jumper Alina Rotaru-Kottmann will compete at the 1st International Athletics Meeting on 29 July in the Festwiese stadium.

The VfB athlete, who can rely on the experience of two Olympic participations in 2016 and 2021, jumped her current annual best of 6.71m in Piraeus, Greece, at the beginning of June. She would like to improve this in front of her home crowd – primarily to get her ticket for the World Championships in Budapest.

The 30-year-old Romanian’s greatest success so far was winning the gold medal at the 2017 Universiade in Taipei. At the 2023 European Indoor Championships in Istanbul, the multiple Romanian long jump champion finished fifth.

Join us in looking forward to Alina’s start and visit the VfB athletics meeting at the Festwiese stadium on 29 July at 6 pm. Admission is free.
